Year Old Recession is Officially Recognized

According to CNBC, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) determined that the U.S. is in a recession which began in December, 2007.

Although I suspected a recession began in late March, 2008, I didn't think it extended back to 2007. Unfortunately, this recession appears to be getting worse, meaning it may be another year, or longer, until it concludes.

For now, we will continue to hunker down in our personal finances and hopefully avoid any major financial issues.
